Cerebrospinal Fluid Pulsation Bioreactoris a device that simulates the biomechanical environment of cerebrospinal fluid pulsation for dynamic in vitro culture of cell–biomaterial composites, constructs artificial viable bone tissue, and records experimental data in real time. The resulting tissue-engineered bone has good biomechanical properties, biocompatibility, and bioactivity, providing a new method for constructing tissue-engineered bone for clinical research and application.


1. Main applications:
The instrument is used primarily for in vitro construction of bioactive bone tissue and research and applications involving biomaterial–cell compatibility, fatigue characteristics, and toxicity. It is suitable for product development and scientific experiments at universities, hospitals, research institutes, biological research centers, and biomaterials organizations.
2、Cerebrospinal Fluid Pulsation BioreactorMain functions and features:
(1) Simulates the cerebrospinal-fluid mechanical environment of animals and humans;
(2) Uses a modular design; each unit can be used independently;
(3) Can provide a matching fluid-mechanics testing device, allowing users to promptly test and calibrate the force generated by the pulsation actuator;
(4) The pulsation actuator has a moderate elastic modulus, good mechanical conductivity, no cytotoxicity, and excellent biocompatibility;
(5) Each culture unit contains two scaffolds, one experimental and one blank control. Each dynamic culture unit can be installed, removed, and relocated as needed and placed in a 5% CO2, 37℃ constant-temperature incubator. Cell scaffolds can be inserted and removed and medium replaced easily, with a low risk of contamination;
(6) Each dynamic culture unit is sealed and maintains suitable pH and carbon-dioxide concentration. The effect of shear generated by medium flow in the unit on cells on the scaffold is negligible.
