A fully automated nucleic acid extraction and purification instrument performs sample pretreatment for nucleic acid testing. It automatically controls sample-tube uncapping, barcode reading, sample aspiration, cap tightening, barcode scanning and liquid dispensing for 96-well plates, proteinase K addition, nucleic acid extraction, washing and purification, elution, and magnet removal. The entire process runs in a clean negative-pressure environment that separates personnel from hazardous samples, preventing staff infection and environmental transmission. Automation also reduces the workload of medical laboratory personnel and avoids errors caused by fatigue.
