Sliding-friction stress articular cartilage bioreactorIt simulates the sliding-friction stress environment created by human joint movement to culture articular cartilage dynamically. It applies sliding-friction stress at different frequencies and magnitudes to dynamically construct human articular cartilage tissue. Stress frequency and magnitude and medium flow can be adjusted. A fully sealed culture unit with clean-gas filtration prevents the contamination to which articular chondrocyte cultures are susceptible.
