1、Vertical (parallel) bioreactorMain functions:

(1) Enables large-scale in vitro culture of enzymes or organisms such as microorganisms to promote biochemical reactions;

(2) Adjusts and adapts the culture environment to suit organisms, promoting their metabolism and producing large quantities of target products.

2. System configuration:

(1) Host (optional): Dell computer. The highly integrated system consists of a control cabinet and vessel. The control cabinet is made of 304L stainless steel for easy cleaning. The vessel has a nominal volume of 3 L and a working volume of 0.5–2.1 L;

(2) Temperature-control system: Pt100 temperature probe; control range: 8℃ above ambient temperature to 45℃; accuracy: ±0.1℃. Heating method: electrically heated film with controllable heat output, ensuring that temperature overshoot during initial heating does not exceed 0.3℃;

(3) pH measurement and control: digital pH probe; control range: 2–12; control accuracy: ±0.01. Multiple control modes can be selected, using feed addition or aeration. The deadband can be set flexibly, with separate acid and alkali deadbands. One-touch online recalibration can be performed during culture to ensure pH accuracy.

(4) DO measurement and control: digital optical DO probe; control range: 0–100%; control accuracy: ±2%. Multiple control modes are available, including constant air flow, oxygen conditions, or proportional air/oxygen aeration. Optional three-gas or four-gas modes accommodate different culture-process requirements;

(5) Agitation control: a servo motor ensures agitation accuracy; speed range: 0–300 rpm; control accuracy: ±1 rpm. The system automatically detects agitation-motor faults and issues an alarm;

(6) Aeration system: 4 reserved gas ports with corresponding flowmeters. Air, oxygen, and CO2 are equipped with mass flow controllers, range: 0–1000 mL/min, accuracy: 0.1 mL/min. The mass flow controllers have no dead zone within their range and can control flow from 0.1 mL/min. A rotameter with a range of 0–1000 mL/min is also included. Air, oxygen, and CO2 flow volumes can be accumulated, and each accumulated flow can be reset separately. Both real-time and accumulated flow data are stored in reports;

(7) Peristaltic pumps (optional): three variable-speed Kamoer peristaltic pumps. The flip-top pump design permits quick and convenient silicone-tube replacement; speed range: 0–180 rpm. Each pump's assigned function can be switched at any time, including acid, alkali, antifoam, feed, and harvest. Pump flow rates can be calibrated and accumulated, and each accumulated flow can be reset separately;

(8) User-management functions: three permission levels—operator, process engineer, and system administrator. Unauthorized users cannot modify system parameters. The system records the operations performed by each logged-in user, supporting audit trails;

(9) Reports, curves, and data acquisition: the controller uses a Siemens PLC. Users can conveniently create reports, flexibly customize report batch numbers and data-recording intervals, with a minimum interval of 1 second. Reports can be queried flexibly by batch number or time and exported as Excel or PDF files via USB. Parameter curves can be selected as needed, and the curve axes can be configured flexibly. Curves can be queried by batch number or time and exported via USB. A PLC data-point table must be provided, with data-acquisition functions made available so users can read and modify all required parameters directly from the PLC;

(10) Vessel system: the vessel is made of single-layer borosilicate glass and withstands sterilization at 121℃. The top cover and all ports use electropolished 316L stainless steel. Top-cover ports include six M18 electrode ports (including a three-needle feed port), six ø10 ports, two ø12 ports, three ø6 ports, and one M32 impeller port. The impeller is a ø45, 45° pitched-blade impeller. The L-shaped sparger has 7 × 1 mm apertures and can be replaced with a 50 μm microbubble sparger. The unit includes a temperature thermowell, three 6 mm single-needle feed heads, one three-needle feed assembly, one medium/harvest tube, one sampling tube, one exhaust tube, and one rotameter tube. The agitation shaft uses a seal design without a mechanical seal, preventing worn carbon powder from contaminating the medium;

(11) Workstation computer (optional): premium Dell workstation with Intel W-2225 or later processor (Intel 12th generation or later), at least 16 GB RAM, at least a 256 GB SSD + 2 TB storage drive, at least a 22-inch monitor, and Windows 10 Professional.

3. After-sales service and training:

(1) Free delivery to the user's address and free on-site installation and commissioning. From the date on which installation and commissioning pass user acceptance, the warranty period is one year, with all repairs free during the warranty period.

(2) During on-site installation and commissioning, technical staff train operators, with no limit on the number of trainees, until users can operate and perform routine maintenance independently.

(3) Repair response time ≤2 hours; proposed solution ≤24 hours; on-site technical support ≤48 hours.
