The tissue-engineered cartilage bioreactor simulates the in vivo dynamic hydrostatic-pressure environment of cartilage. It applies hydrostatic stress at different frequencies and magnitudes to dynamically construct human cartilage tissue. Hydrostatic-pressure frequency and magnitude and medium flow can be adjusted, multiple cartilage tissues can be cultured simultaneously, and fully sealed culture prevents contamination of chondrocyte cultures.
