It applies sliding-friction stress at different frequencies and magnitudes to dynamically construct human articular cartilage tissue. Stress frequency and magnitude and medium flow can be adjusted. A fully sealed culture unit with clean-gas filtration prevents the contamination to which articular chondrocyte cultures are susceptible.
